NR-1 in Focus: How to Ensure Compliance in Practice

The update to Regulatory Standard No. 1 comes into effect on May 26 and brings new requirements for companies. As of that date, organizations will begin to be inspected for the management of psychosocial risks and the need to structure processes to protect the mental health of employees.

About the presenters

Mário Spinelli is a professor at the São Paulo School of Business Administration of Getulio Vargas Foundation (EAESP/FGV) and in the MBA in Compliance at USP/Esalq. He also teaches in the postgraduate program in Compliance at LEC and is a guest professor in courses at PUC-RJ and UFLA/ESAF.

He holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Government from FGV-SP and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from FJP-MG. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Transparency 100% Movement of the UN Global Compact – Brazil Network.
He was Executive Director of Governance and Compliance and Ombudsman General of Petrobras, Executive Director of Regulatory Compliance at Protiviti, the first General Comptroller of the Municipality of São Paulo, General Comptroller of the State of Minas Gerais, Secretary of Prevention of Corruption and Strategic Information of the CGU, and a member of COAF. He is a Federal Auditor of Finance and Control of the CGU.
